EcoGen are a small independent consultancy with the experience and expertise to advise, equip and facilitate individuals, community groups and organisations in all forms of renewable energy installations from small domestic schemes to large-scale projects. We can enable individuals and community groups to develop and own local renewable energy schemes.
We are able to facilitate with the identification and validation of potential renewable energy sites, obtaining Power Purchase Agreements, other contractual requirements and the necessary planning permissions - supported by the process of Environmental Impact Assessment where appropriate. This approach negates the need for an external developer or owner and ensures that local benefits from the development are maximised.
EcoGen has pioneered important new approaches to the planning of windfarm developments, including Computer Aided Visualisation as a tool for visual impact analysis, and the use of environmental warranties from wind turbine suppliers covering absolute and tonal conditions on noise levels.
