Asset Management throughout the Project Lifecycle
As the original developer of this five turbine site in the East of England, EcoGen has been involved in every stage of the project’s development, site investigation and planning, environmental impact assessment, planning consent, financing, construction and operational management – from site feasibility studies in 2002 to commissioning in 2007.
Today EcoGen is responsible for Operational & Commercial Asset Management of the project. The complexity involved in managing the day to day running of a site that contains turbines from two different manufacturers is a particular challenge – each has their own approved contractors, SCADA system and operating methodology. EcoGen has also managed the renewal of the warranty and maintenance contracts after expiry of their initial five year term.
EcoGen is responsible for the monthly settlement of the Power Purchase Agreement and both management and statutory financial reporting. In addition to this we provide operational control, performance reporting and data analysis & investigation to ensure the turbines run safely and to optimise output levels.
More information about the services EcoGen provides to this and other renewable energy projects can be found in Services.
